Discovering Diversity Profile

The Discovering Diversity Profile is a 16-page instrument that helps employees learn how they respond to workforce diversity issues and where they need to develop an increased understanding.

The Discovering Diversity Profile helps individuals explore their own viewpoints on workforce diversity in four key areas:

1. Knowledge/Stereotypes  -- Stereotypes and information are assessed as employees explore what they actually know about differences and where that knowledge comes from.
2. Understanding/Empathy  -- Awareness and empathy are measured as employees discover how willing they are to put themselves in a position to feel what others may be feeling.
3. Acceptance/Respect  -- Receptiveness and respect are examined as employees assess how patient and respectful they are of diverse behaviors and backgrounds.
4. Behavior/Self-awareness  -- Self-awareness and interpersonal skills are measured as employees gain insight into how they express their attitudes toward others.

The online (EPIC) version of the Discovering Diversity Profile provides all the elements of the paper-based instrument, plus an expanded interpretation and personalized feedback that goes beyond what the paper profile is able to offer. Each section offers feedback on those items that need attention, several suggestions for improvement, and an expanded action plan. The report is organized into segments for more effective group facilitation and coaching applications. 

The Discovering Diversity Profile Group Report provides a snapshot of a group in four key areas of diversity development.  Facilitators and trainers use it to zero in on the needs of participants, a group, and the organization.  All of the information is anonymous, so the report can be used as a facilitation tool while safeguarding the confidentiality of the respondents. (Requires each person in the group to complete the online (EPIC) version of the Discovering Diversity Profile)
